Famous for its warm weather, as Daily temperature hovers round 25-30 °C most of
the year, while during July and August temperatures reach over 40 °C. For that many
Europeans choose it, for their regular Holidays, especially during the winter season
and spend their Christmas and New Year holidays in it.
Founded in the early 20th century and until a few years ago it was an isolated small fishing
village. But since the 1980s, it has been continually enlarged by the Egyptian government as
well as Egyptian and foreign investors to become the leading coastal resort on the Red Sea.
Only an hour's flight or 5-6 hours' drive from Cairo. Its accommodations range from luxury
hotels with their own private beaches and enormous holiday villages which are totally self-
sufficient, to cheap and simple lodgings.
Spanning over 40 km of pristine coastline, Hurghada City has year-round sunshine, incredibly
beautiful coral reefs and dozens of exciting attractions in a laid back, relaxed atmosphere.
Hurghada tours in fact are more than an organized trips but a whole new different level of
activities, as never before. You can go there on tours the stunning Giftun Island for snorkeling
or you go in a lifetime experience of desert safari and quad biking, you can go for scuba
diving, as it's known as a top-three diving destination in the Globe, even the non-divers can
enjoy the Golden Sandy Beaches and have fun of its clear crystal water, you can even travel
for further hundreds of kilometers to visit a bustling city famous for being home of the first of
the seven wonders of the ancient world- the Giza Pyramids.
The Aquarium and Marine Museum at the institute of Hydrobiology offer a huge collection of
flora and fauna with exquisite tropical fish, sharks and other rare sea creatures.
