Sahl Hasheesh
Sahl Hasheesh
A bay located on the Red Sea, of about 12-square mile, developed since 1995, partly
completed in 2008 and fully completed in 2020, as a fully integrated mixed-use resort
city home of a great number of islands and coral reefs with diving and snorkeling, just
18 km south of Hurghada Airport. The nearby island of Abou Hasheesh which is now
a protectorate is a really thriving community of marine life.
The luxurious resort is boasting no less than 12.5 km of sandy Red Sea beach front,
and teeming with colorful sea life and unspoilt coral reefs. Its crystal clear waters and
unique underwater gardens are globally renowned as an aquatic paradise for beginners
and advanced divers.
In a unique style, in the resort town there is a partly submerged artificial city. Such
artificial reef attracts fish and is popular with tourists, for diving and snorkeling.
Perhaps the brightest land mark in Sahl Hasheesh is the Magnificent oberoi Sahl
Hasheesh resort hotel, which In 2009 was rated as one of the more upscale resorts in
the Middle East and won first place in Trip Advisors 2016 Travelers Choice Award of
top 25 Luxury Hotels in Egypt, on the other hand, the Other hotels at Sahl Hasheesh
were in the top 10 of Hurgada hotels.
The climate here is idealistic for beach vacationers seeking luxury and serenity, as
having hot dry summer and mild winter, with low level infrequent rainfall.
